Classes meet once a week for 5-sessions from 6:30 - 9:00.

Let me share my passion for birth with you as you experience one of life's greatest
gifts- the birth of child. My classes are different from anything else you will
experience in the Erie area. I strive to create a fun, relaxed environment that
is open to any questions and concerns. I believe that birth is normal, and that
you can do it.
Class Topics Include:
Class One- Basic Anatomy, How the Uterus Works, The First Stage of Labor, the Effects
of Fear on Labor, Breathing Awareness
Class Two- Using Our Labor Tool Bag, Positions for Progressing Labor, Back Labor,
Variations in Normal Labor, First Stage Labor Rehearsal (fun!), and the Russian Waterbirth
Experience
Class Three- Pushing Techniques and Positions for Birthing Your Baby, Overcoming
Labor Fear, What to Pack, and possible visit by prior class couple
Class Four- Benefits and Drawbacks, and Ways to Avoid, Common Medical Intervention,
Different Pain Medications, and Cesarean Prevention. (You will not find these topics
covered in detail in any other class.)
Class Five- Postpartum, Breastfeeding Instruction, and Strategies for the Most Common
Newborn Issues: Crying and Sleep.
A non-refundable deposit is due upon registration to hold your spot. The registration
fee is applied toward the class fee. Click here for class fees.
Some insurance companies may reimburse a portion of the class fee. Payment of the
entire fee is expected, and your insurance company may reimburse you directly. I
am happy to fill out any needed paperwork and provide you with an official receipt.
